Melissa Sue St. George (McNamee)

ROCHELLE - Melissa "Missy" Sue (St. George) McNamee, Rochelle, went home to rest with the Heavenly Father on Christmas Day after a courageous battle with a brain tumor. She was born Feb. 21, 1956, in Galesburg to Richard and Elizabeth (Harrison) St. George. On Aug. 7, 1982, she married Fred McNamee in Galesburg. Missy and Fred were blessed with two children, Megan Elizabeth (27) and Sean Patrick (23).
Missy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved nothing more than to be with her family. She was dedicated to providing a life full of love and encouragement to Fred, Megan and Sean. She loved them with her whole heart. Missy was a joyful soul who lived each day with a smile on her face and a laugh on her lips. Missy brought joy into the lives of others with her good natured disposition and witty humor. It was impossible to spend time with Missy and not have a good laugh. Missy was truly blessed to have found a calling in her life as a speech pathologist; she worked for the Ogle County Educational Co-op for over 20 years. She loved to talk and cherished giving others the gift of speech.
Missy is survived by her husband, Fred of Rochelle; daughter, Megan (Adam Grad) of Rochelle; son, Sean of Rochelle; her mother, Elizabeth St. George of Galesburg; her mother and father-in-law, John and Louise McNamee, of Sperry, Iowa; siblings Dixie (Roger) Quinn; Robert (Rose) St. George; Virginia Roberts; and Arthur (Sandra) St. George; Fred's siblings; Catherine (Paul) Ziglar; John (Ronda) McNamee; and Robert (Jean) McNamee, and by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
