Robert "Bob" A. Berry VIEW PROFILE

Bob passed away 8:24 pm Friday, May 29, 2015 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg

He was born February 10, 1956 in Galesburg the son of Richard L. and Katherine W. Harrison Berry. He married Nancy J. Webber on April 25, 1981 in Galesburg. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughters, Nicole Berry (Woody Norville) and Casey Berry both of Galesburg; his brother, Ronald Berry of Sebring, Florida; a half brother, Richard Berry of Clarksville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Zaniyah Carter, Nolan Norville and Quincy Whittaker; his niece, Lindsay (Hudson) Archer of Galesburg; two great nephews, one great niece; a brother-in-law, Mike (Susan) Webber of Knoxville, Illinois, his mother-in-law, Joan Webber of Galesburg and Alison D. Bauchman of Galesburg whom he considered as one of his “daughters”. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Bob worked as a print salesman for several years at Wayne Wagner Printing and Tucker Printing. After his retirement he worked for the Galesburg Register Mail. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1974 and Western Illinos University in 1978. He played baseball during high school and college. After college he played slow pitch softball on many teams. He played for the American Legion Pioneers Baseball team and CICL. He enjoyed bowling and golfing on several local leagues. He was a referee for high school basketball and umpired baseball. Bob was inducted into the Galesburg Referee Hall of Fame in 2012. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #894 for over 30 years. There he served as a trustee, chairman of the house committee, chairman of the scholarship committee and chairman of the Hoop Shoot committee.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Deus-dedit Byabato will officiate. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Monday, June 1, 2015. Cremation will be accorded. His ashes will rest with his wife Nancy and his daughters Nikki and Casey.  Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at Hinchilff-Pearson-West
